WARNED| The Namibian Boxing and Control Board has warned boxer Harry Simon and Faith Foundation not to go ahead with their plans to host an exhibition fight between Simon and Paulus 'Ninja' Shimweefeleni tomorrow, 14 June.
Early this week, the board said that they did not sanctioned the fight as it did not meet the necessary requirements, such as a medical test of the two fighters.
Speaking to Confidente, today, the board vice-chairperson, Anita Tjombe warned that any attempt to hold the exhibition fight will be met with severe consequences.
"We are going to strip him (Simon and Onkugo promotions) off their boxing licenses for six years, including the undercard boxers. It seems like these people do not listen. They told us that they are going to comply with the rules but they did not. We have informed NamPol in Oshakati not to allow the fight to go ahead," warned Tjombe
Despite this warning, both Simon and Faith Foundation have assured spectators that the will be a fight.
